General Information
Authors are invited to submit abstracts for a presentation in person at the HTC 2026 Conference. All abstracts will undergo a review process and may be accepted for presentation.
Two types of presentations are foreseen: Oral presentations and poster presentations.
Moreover, there are contributed oral- and invited oral presentations.

Information for Poster Presenter
The maximum size of the poster is A0 (Height: 118.9 cm x Width: 84.1 cm)
Orientation: Portrait.
Posters will be presented during a dedicated poster session Tuesday afternoon. The posters should be on display during the entire conference.

During the abstract submitting process you could choose your preferred presentation type as oral or poster.
The Scientific Programme Committee will take your preference into consideration but reserves the right to ultimately decide which type will finally be assigned to your abstract.
Submission Guidelines
Please carefully read the guidelines below, before submitting an abstract.
- The person submitting the abstract will automatically be the Presenting Author and the Corresponding Author.
- One or up to maximum five abstracts can be submitted by the Corresponding Author.
- Should an author have more than one abstract accepted for presentation, a co-author could be named as presenting author for such abstracts. In this case, please contact the conference chair of HTC26@dlr.de
- Submit an abstract every Corresponding Author has to pre-register for the HTC 2026 via this website.
Please use the button submit abstract in order to submit your abstract.
A confirmation email will automatically be sent to the email provided for the primary author once the abstract has been fully submitted. - Abstracts submitted by fax or e-mail will not be accepted.
- The Presenting Authors may request their preferred presentation type as oral or poster. Please be reminded that the Scientific Programme Committee will endeavour to schedule abstracts according to authors’ preferences but reserves the right to decide on the final type of presentation.
- Abstracts could be or corrected modified until the deadline of the abstract submission.
After the abstract submission process is closed no modification and any corrections are possible. - Abstracts must be received by the announced deadline. Abstracts received after the deadline will not be considered.
- The Presenting Author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract before submission.
- The Presenting Authors must ensure that all authors have given their consent to be listed as co-authors on the submitted abstract. Authorship and author order should be agreed upon by all authors.
- The Presenting Authors are responsible for the accuracy of all contents of the abstract.
- The Presenting Authors are required to complete during the abstract submission process a declaration of consent
- The Presenting Author must ensure that the contents of the abstract do not infringe the copyright and any other rights of any third party.
- All abstracts must be submitted and presented in English
- E-Mail Acceptance Notification
Only the Corresponding Authors will be the point of contact for all communication and is required to share all necessary information with their co-author(s) and will receive the email acceptance notification. - For all e-mail correspondence, please check both your inbox and junk mail folder for emails of confirmation of proposing your paper for the HTC 2026 and for the emails of acceptance notification. ONLY the presenting author will be notified of the abstract submission status, session formats, and scheduling of presentations,
The Presenting Authors are responsible for informing all co-authors about the status of their submitted abstracts. - Registration
Presenting Authors of abstracts must be registered and paid participants.
Format and Content
Please use the provided abstract template in order to prepare your abstract. Length and style of the abstract are explained in there. A graphical abstract can be provided optionally.
The Presenting Author must be underlined and the Corresponding Author’s email address must be given at the end of the page. The language is English. The total limit of one page must not be exceeded. Abstracts that do not comply with the size requirement and structure may be rejected.
The abstract should be prepared as a pdf-file.
Abstract Review
Your abstract will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee of the HTC 2026 who decides on its acceptance based on the general scientific criteria (general interest, relevance, originality/novelty, quality, and clarity). The Scientific Committee decides whether a contribution will be presented orally or as a poster, trying to accommodate the preferences of the submitter as far as possible.
Acceptance notifications will be sent by e-mail no later than 10 February 2026.
Information for oral and poster presenter
Detailed instructions and information for presenters will be available on the HTC 2026 website in March 2026.
The handling of personal data is controlled by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and associated legislation. Therefore, every presenter has to fill out and sign the DLR Declaration of consent at the registration desk onsite.

Registration and Payment
The Presenting Authors of the accepted abstracts must register for the congress and complete the payment of the registration fee before the deadline. The deadline will be stated in the acceptance letter.
Registration is obligatory for every accepted presenter. After acceptance, therefore only primary authors will be provided with a link to finalize their registration and for the payment of the HTC conference.
No registration of the accepted abstract's presenting author for the HTC 2026 before the "registration deadline” will result in losing eligibility for presenting at the HTC 2026 without prior notice. (The deadline will be stated also in the email acceptance notification)
Any co-authors wishing to present with their primary author are required to register for the conference as well.
Please note:
Presenters are responsible for their own expenses, including the conference registration fee, travel, accommodations, and other expenses.

Abstract Submitters Declaration
By submitting an abstract for the HTC 2026 you consent with the fact that your abstract, your name, affiliation and email address will be published on the conference website in a password protected area. Moreover, we need your consent that the same information could be published in the HTC 2026 conference programme booklet which is distributed shortly before the conference among all participants via the conference website.
The conference programme will include the abstracts, Corresponding Author’s / Presenter email address, an author list of the HTC 2026.
The booklet will be published only on the HTC 2026 website. Only registered participants of the HTC 2026 will have access to this abstract (PDF) via the website. To enter the sub-page, you need a password for this password protected area on the website. This password will be sent to registered participants of the HTC2026 only, shortly before the conference.
The German Aerospace Center (DLR e. V.) as host of the HTC 2026 is therefore not responsible for any other publication to other public portals or other external websites and tools.
Therefore, during abstract submission, you will be asked to declare the following:
- I confirm that I previewed this abstract and that all information is correct.
I accept that the content of this abstract cannot be modified or corrected after final submission and I am aware that it will be published in the programme booklet of the HTC 2026 (print and online version) as submitted. - I confirm that the corresponding author’s email address must be given in the abstract at the end of the page.
To give your email address as abstract submitter/ corresponding author, at the end of the page of the abstract is being made on voluntary basis. - I confirm that the presenter and the coauthors names (first name and surname as well as the email address of the presenter) could be listed in the author list of the HTC 2026 and published in the programme booklet (print and online version).
We will only published your name, affiliation and email address, coauthors names in the book of abstract/ programme book HTC 2026 2026 (online and printed version), if you have expressly consented that this information / data could be published in the HTC 2026 conference programme online version of the booklet which is distributed shortly before the conference among all participants via the conference website. - The abstract submitter warrants and represents that no part of the information and content provided by him/her to HTC nor the publication of any such Content by the HTC 2026 Organizers, on the internet /website of HTC and programme booklet or otherwise infringes any third-party rights, including but not limited to privacy rights and/or intellectual property rights.
- I herewith confirm that the contact details saved in this system are those of the presenting author, who will be notified about the status of the abstract. The presenting author is responsible for informing the other authors about the status of the abstract. The submitting author may request to be copied on the abstract correspondence.
Please note:
We (HTC 2026 / German Aerospace Center (DLR e.V.)) will not make your presentation slide accessible to others via the conference website of the HTC 2026 neither won’t it be stored there at any time.
There will be no provision of the programme booklet of the HTC 2026 abstracts and later (after the conference) by the German Aerospace Center (DLR e.V.) for publication to other public portals and information channels of German Aerospace Center or other external websites and tools.
The website with all its stored information will be online until December, 2027.
The Organizers of the HTC 2026 reserve the right to remove an abstract that does not comply with the above from publication and/or presentation.
Information about the HTC 2026 Photos
After the event, the photos, especially the group photo taken by our DLR photographer will be made available exclusively online via the website of the HTC 2026. Only registered participants of the HTC 2026 will have access to the event photos via a password protected aera on the website. To enter the sub-page, you need a password for this password protected area on the website. The password will be sent to registered participants only, after the HTC 2026.
